UPDATE: Gills Onion Recall Hits So many Brands hard to keep up

The Gill Onion Recall of July 19th's effects are now finally coming to light with so many recalls it's hard to keep up here are some that we know advice wait a few weeks to have "sliced onions" unless you buy them Fresh or know they are Fresh:

Garden Fresh Foods, a Milwaukee, Wis. establishment, is recalling approximately 13,600 pounds of meat and poultry salad products. The salads contain diced onions

San Miguel Produce, Inc. of Oxnard, CA is recalling 48 cases of Cut ‘N Clean, Comfort (Cooking) Greens Kits, because products contain onions from Gills Onions

Golden Corral Tartar Sauce, Dickey’s BBQ Bean Sauce, Lee’s Cole Slaw Dressing, Fatz Tartar Sauce, Ken’s Tartar Sauce.  These items contain onions from Gills Onions

Cool Creations, North Kansas City, Missouri is recalling specific packages of products containing onions

Wegmans Recalls Chilled Prepared Foods that Contain Diced White Onions Sold at Three Pennsylvania Stores Only

Trader Joe's Roasted Butternut Squash, Red Quinoa & Wheatberry Salad with "use by date" of 7/28/2012 and 7/30/2012 comes in a 9.5 oz clear plastic container. The "use by date" is marked on a sticker on the front of the package. The recalled product was distributed from 7/23/12 to 7/26/12 to Trader Joe's stores in Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon and Washington. No other Trader Joe's stores are affected by this recall.
