RECALL: Julienne Salad Products Michigan, Indiana & Ohio Possible Listeria Contamination

18th Street Deli, a Michigan firm, is recalling approximately 118 pounds of julienne salad products with turkey, ham and hard-boiled eggs, due to possible listeria contamination,

The salads contain eggs that are the subject of an FDA recall due to contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.

The salad products subject to the recall are 9.25-ounce packages of 18th Street Deli Julienne Salad; 18th Street Deli Julienne Salad Lite; and Balanced Choice Julienne Salad Lite.

CANADIAN RECALL: Milk Contaminated with Cleaning Products

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is warning people not to consume a certain brand of milk that may be contaminated with cleaning products.

Neilson Trutaste 2% Microfiltered Partly Skimmed Milk, with a best before date of Feb. 12, 2012, is being recalled by manufacturer Saputo Inc. of Montreal, Que.

RECALL: Jones’ Seasoning Original & Spicy Southwest Blend Mock Salt

This recall has been initiated due to possible Salmonella contamination of the celery seeds ingredient used in Jones Mock Salt. Jones Seasoning Blends LLC is not responsible for the contamination of Salmonella. The supplier of the celery seeds has been recalling the product and Jones Seasoning Blends LLC has also taken every action possible in notifying the public.

Products were directly distributed to grocery stores and markets in California, Minnesota, and Washington and it was also sold through internet orders on www.jonesmocksalt.com:

Jones’ Mock Salt Original: Organic Salt Free Seasoning, 1.6 oz bottles (UPC 0 94922 16616 6), 12 oz bags (UPC 0 94922 07199 6) and 16 oz bags (0 94922 16616 6).

There is no lot number identifying the bottles or bags. Any products purchased from July 1, 2011 to December 14, 2011 should be destroyed.

346 cases of LEASA Living Alfalfa Sprouts with use by date 2/1/12 were distributed through FL, GA, AL, LA, and MS through retail stores and food service companies on 1/4/12, 1/5/12, 1/6/12, 1/7/12 and 1/8/12 have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella

The affected product is in 6 oz. clear plastic containers with a UPC code of 75465-55912 and has an expiration date of 2/1/12. The UPC code is located on the side of the label at the side of the container. The expiration date of the package is located on the side of the container....MORE
